Season 3 Episode 115: Indianapolis Mass Shooting: Analyzing the Downtown Tragedy & Urban Violence Crisis

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, in the early morning hours (around 1:30 AM), a mass shooting took place in downtown Indianapolis, near South Illinois and West Washington Street. The tragic event resulted in the deaths of two teenagers (a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old). Additionally, five other individuals sustained injuries, with victims ranging in age from 16 to 21, including both juveniles and adults. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers, who were already responding to a disturbance nearby, heard gunfire and discovered multiple victims. Several firearms were recovered at the scene, and seven individuals were detained for questioning, though their direct involvement remains under investigation.
